"I have spent my life working with people others were tempted to give up on."
D. Davis, Founder
Donte S.L. Davis Sr. has spent his career in the rooms where people are easiest to write off. As an educator and Dean of Students, he sat across the desk from students the system had already labeled. As a mentor and the founder of Leaders In Training, he built a program around a different question than "what's wrong with this kid," namely "what does this kid need to lead."
That question became a book, The Myth of the Bad Kid, and the book became a body of work. Speaking, coaching, consulting and writing, all built on the same conviction educators, parents and leaders keep returning to him for.
DLG grew from the belief that better leadership can change the trajectory of a classroom, a school, a family and sometimes a life.

How it moves
Leadership passed forward, not handed down
A mentor invests in one leader. That leader invests in three more. This is the whole model, and it is the only kind of growth we measure ourselves against.
